Now here’s an enjoyable video review of the Samsung Galaxy S II X aka the Hercules (That’s me! That’s me!) aka the super-duper smartphone that I upgraded to on December 21st when my 2 year contract with my now archaic HTC Hero expired (it’s been fun, little guy). Said review covers all aspects of everything that I love about this dream smartphone which is near perfect, because IMO there has yet to be a perfect smartphone (or any gadget for that matter). Having said that (and after spending a bit over a week with the Hercules), I can confirm that it is a straight up beast in all departments (i.e. processing power, sleek physical design, magnificent visuals, 4G connectivity speeds, etc.), has a back-facing camera that can legit replace my SONY point & shoot (which is no slouch, mind you) and it features the finest touchscreen display (a whopping 4.5” super AMOLED) that I have ever handled to date. But don’t take this proud “Cool Herc” owner’s word for it, check out Wireless Insider’s excellent video review of IMO the best all-around smartphone of 2K11 as well as a decently future proofed handset (NFC capabilities; Android 4.0 in Q1 of 2K12).
Bonus: Furious Technology conducts a fair and factual comparison between the SGS2X and the industry leading (in terms of sales) iPhone 4S. Peep it here to draw your own conclusions as to which one is the superior mobile device.
