A fresh & new design, indeed. But I’m quite disappointed that they took away the share & share w/ note options (pretty much the only social aspect of Reader that I ever used). And since I’m not really interested in joining Google+ to create social circles which I would then presumably share items with, it looks like my extensive G-Reader sharing days (beginning way back on April 23, 2007) are now done.
Truth be told, I would have shared this particular article via my Reader instead of making a full-fledged Tumblr post about it, but clearly that’s just not possible now. However, it’s rather fitting that the very last item I ever shared was an article on The Evil Dead (perfect). So to the 4 people that may or may not have read my shared items over the past 4.5 years, it was a good run, wouldn’t you agree? Although I’ll still be using G-Reader to manage my RSS subscriptions (but strictly on a private level now).
