Ye’ in Balmain Bike Jeans x Air Jordan VII’s
Those are some great looking Balmain Bikers, Yeez. In a related story (ha), I finally tracked down and copped my own pair of Balmain Biker Jeans this past summer in Boston (while spending some quality time at my favourite upscale fashion boutique) and I absolutely LOVE them. Some denim deetz from a proud owner of these highly sought-after style of jeans:
- They’re light wash (my first pair of light blue jeans since the good ol’ 1990s)
- Meticulously destroyed/distressed (with subtle tears and permanent dark lines strategically laced throughout)
- Contain all the Biker trademarks that former Balmain creative director Christophe Decarnin made infamous (i.e. the heavy motorcycle jacket style zippers and the kneepad-esque pattern located on the lower thighs)
- Inner tag says “Made in Italy” (where else?)
- I usually pair them up with my white/fire-red/cement Jordan III retro kicks in the late spring/summer/early fall and I plan on sporting my black Timberland boots with them in the late fall/winter.
As you can tell, I’ve spent quite some time examining my Bikers very closely (the above mini-review is proof that they are in my possession and I’m not just talking shit). But you would too if you knew how much I “invested” in them (not a humblebrag, just a fact). They’re certainly the most heavy duty/intricate pair of denim I’ve ever owned and easily the crown jewel of my modest designer jeans collection (you can really feel where the $$$ went). As the legendary Slick Rick said: “Fresh, dressed like a million bucks.”
